Az antiszemitizmus elleni Tett és Védelem Alapítvány harcot hirdetett az internetes gyűlöletkeltés ellen.
Budapest – Az antiszemitizmus elleni küzdelem céljából életre hívott Tett és Védelem Alapítvány, valamint az Anti-Defamation League – Rágalmazásellenes Liga (ADL) harcot hirdetett az internetes gyűlöletkeltés ellen. Az együttműködésük első nagy eredményét tudhatják ma maguknak. Kezdeményezésükre, a több mint 70.000 követővel rendelkező kurucinfo.hirportált törölték a Facebook oldaláról.
Az Egységes Magyarországi Izraelita Hitközség (EMIH), a Mazsihisz és több más zsidó szervezet és civilek által életre hívott Tett és Védelem Alapítvány, valamint az amerikai illetőségű ADL hetekkel ezelőtt közös beadvánnyal fordult a Facebook közösségi portálhoz. Beadványukban több tucat, egyértelműen uszító és gyűlöletkeltő bejegyzésre hívták fel a figyelmet, olyan írásokra, amelyek nemcsak az európai emberi normák, hanem kifejezetten a Facebook által meghirdetett gyűlöletmentes közösségi médiai szabályzással is szembe mentek, ezzel súlyosan megsértették a közösségi portál felhasználói feltételeit és semmibe vették a szolgáltató működési elvét és küldetését.
„A magyarországi közbeszéd minősége napról-napra romlik. Az antiszemita megnyilatkozásoknak már a Parlamentben is vannak büszke hangadói és képviselői, s az ott elhangzó rasszista, antiszemita beszédek mételyezik a közgondolkodást, rombolják a közbeszéd színvonalát. Ennek legfőbb képviselője a kurucinfo hírportál volt, mely évek óta terjesztette és gerjesztette ennek az egész társadalmat a gyűlölködés irányába taszító nézeteit. A portálon például külön Cigánybűnözés, és Zsidóbűnözés rovat is található.” – mondja Bodnár Dániel a Tett és Védelem elnöke. – „A mai győzelem csak a kezdet. Nem állhatunk meg, amíg meg nem tisztítjuk az internetet a gyűlöletkeltéstől.”

Dr. Köves Slomó EMIH vezető rabbi kezdeményezésére 2012 novemberében jött létre a Tett és Védelem Alapítvány, mely a romló minőségű közbeszéd, a kirekesztés, az antiszemitizmus táptalaját adó ismerethiány, valamint az atrocitások és törvényszegések elleni erélytelen jogi fellépéssel szemben kíván új alternatívát nyújtani, a pozitív zsidó identitás és a közösségi szerveződés stratégiája mentén. A Tett és Védelem Alapítvány bejegyzett civil szervezet, melynek kurátorai a teológiai és világnézeti önmeghatározásuktól függetlenül, a legfontosabb Magyarországon működő zsidó vallási és kulturális irányultságokat kívánják megjeleníteni, ezzel is szimbolikusan kifejezve, hogy az antiszemitizmus elleni fellépés mindannyiunk közös ügye. Az Alapítvány kurátorai között vannak a neológiát és ortodoxiát képviselő Mazsihisz, a statsquo/chábád EMIH, a reform irányzatú Szim Salom vezető személyiségei és az irányzatoktól független, de a társadalom elismert tagjaiként számon tartott emblematikus személyiségek egyaránt.Action and Protection Foundation

Hungarian opponent of anti-Semitism, Action and Protection Foundation, declared war on online incitement to hatred.
Budapest, Hungary – Called into being to fight anti-Semitism, Action and Protection Foundation (Hungary), and the Anti-Defamation League (ADL – USA) declared war on online incitement to hatred. Today they have claimed the first major victory of their cooperation. Due to their initiative, the news portal kuruc.info, with 70,000 followers, was deleted from Facebook.
Action and Protection Foundation—which was established by the common initiative of EMIH (Unified Jewish Hungarian Congregation), Mazsihisz and a number of Jewish organizations as well as other individuals—and ADL approached Facebook, the community portal, with a joint petition. They drew attention to dozens of blatantly inflammatory and hate-inciting entries, written material that contradicted not only European norms of human conduct, but expressly defied the hate-free community media regulations published by Facebook, grossly abusing the community portal’s conditions of use and ignoring the service provider’s mission and principles of operation.
“Standards of public discourse in Hungary are deteriorating day by day. Anti-Semitic declarations have even found their way to Parliament through proud opinion leaders and representatives, while the racist and anti-Semitic speeches there contaminate the public mind and undermine standards of public discourse. Their foremost representative was the news portal kuruc.info, which had over numerous years propelled and spread these views, thrusting the whole of society further and further into animosity. Individual columns on the news portal are dedicated to Jewish Organized Crime, and Gipsy Organized Crime for example,” says president of Action and Protection Foundation, Dániel Bodnár. “Today’s victory is only the beginning. We cannot rest until we have wiped the internet clean of all incitement to hatred.”

Action and Protection Foundation came into being through the initiative of Dr. Slomó Köves, leading rabbi of EMIH in November 2012. It seeks to provide a new alternative to the ineffectual legal steps taken against deteriorating standards of public discourse, exclusion, and the ignorance in which anti-Semitism is rooted, as well as atrocities and hate crimes, taking up a strategy of positive Jewish identity building and community self-organization. Action and Protection Foundation is a registered civil organization, whose trustees, independently of their self-definition in terms of theology and world view, seek to represent the most important Jewish religious and cultural tendencies in Hungary, thereby symbolically expressing that taking action on anti-Semitism is a cause shared by all. Trustees on the Board of the Foundation include leading figures from Mazsihisz, which represents the Neology and Orthodoxy, the status-quo/Chabad EMIH, the reform oriented Sim Shalom Progressive Jewish Congregation, as well as socially recognized emblematic personalities independent of these movements.
