Tárgyalásokat folytattak a Tett és Védelem Alapítvány vezetői a hazánkba látogató magas szintű izraeli kormányképviselőkkel

Budapest, 2013. december 2. – A Tett és Védelem Alapítvány vezetősége megbeszéléseket folytatott Gideon Behárral, az izraeli Külügyminisztérium antiszemitizmus elleni küzdelemért felelős hivatalának igazgatójával. A két fél már több alkalommal találkozott egymással – legutóbb augusztusban –, a mostani egyeztetés témáját a Tett és Védelem Alapítvány és a Zsidó Ügynökség közös monitoring irodájának megnyitója és az azzal kapcsolatos jövőbeni tervek határozták meg.

Az Alapítvány részéről Bodnár Dániel társelnök ismertette az új iroda megnyitásával elérhetővé vált újabb technikai és módszertani fejlesztéseket. A megbeszélésen szóba került az oktatás és a tájékoztatás kérdése, mellyel kapcsolatban az izraeli fél kiemelt érdeklődést mutatott.

Behar és az izraeli küldöttség prominens tagjai, Nathan Sharansky és Avraham Duvdevani egy fontos, szimbolikus jelentőséggel bíró eseményre érkeztek Budapestre. Ünnepélyes keretek között felavatták a Tett és Védelem Alapítvány és a Zsidó Ügynökség közös antiszemitizmus-monitoring irodáját.

Az ünnepélyes irodaavató Köves Slomó vezető rabbi, a TEV alapítójának köszöntőjével vette kezdetét, amelyben elhangzott, hogy Magyarországon az emberek többsége ellenzi a szélsőséges nézeteket, és azt kívánja, hogy békében, egymás felé fordulva, egymást elfogadva élhessék mindennapjaikat.

A rendezvényen elismerő hangú köszöntőbeszédet mondott Natan Sharansky a Zsidó Ügynökég (Szochnut) vezetője és Avraham Duvdevani, a Cionista Világszövetség elnöke. Mindketten a Tett és Védelem Alapítvány munkáját értékelték és egyhangúlag a nemzetközi közösségek számára példaértékűnek nevezték azt.

Gideon Behar az Izraeli Külügyminisztérium Antiszemitizmus Elleni Küzdelem Osztályának igazgatója és Ilan Mor Izrael Állam budapesti nagykövete üdvözölte az ügyben a kormány támogatását,

Prőhle Gergely külügyi államtitkár bibliai idézetre hivatkozott a téli ünnepek egybeesése kapcsán. Az együttműködés fontosságára hívta fel a figyelmet. Hangsúlyozta, hogy Magyarországon a keresztény-zsidó együttélést néhányan furcsa módon keresztény-zsidó ellentétként állítják be, pedig szerinte következetes keresztény nem lehet antiszemita.

Bodnár Dániel, a TEV elnöke ünnepi beszédében kiemelte a szimbolikus gesztusok helyes és helytelen beszédre vonatkozó közmegegyezés kialakulásában játszott szerepét.

A Tett és Védelem Alapítvány irodájának felavatását Prőhle Gergely és Takács Szabolcs helyettes államtitkárok, valamint Bodnár Dániel és Heisler András, a Tett és Védelem Alapítvány társelnökei hajtották végre. Ezt követően Ilan Mor nagykövet felhelyezte a mezuzát az iroda bejáratára.

Budapest, 2nd of December 2013 – Action and Protection Foundation leaders consulted with Gideon Behar, director for the department responsible for combatting anti-Semitism in the Israeli Foreign Ministry. The parties have met a number of times previously, most recently in August, and the subject of the current meeting was the inauguration of joint monitoring office of Action and Protection Foundation (TEV) and the Jewish Agency, and planning for the future of this office.

On behalf of the Foundation, co-chairman Dániel Bodnár presented the latest technological and methodological advances made available by the opening of the new office. Questions about education and awareness-raising were also discussed at the meeting, as this was of particular interest to the partners from Israel.

Behar and prominent members of the Israeli delegation, Nathan Sharansky and Avraham Duvdevani arrived for an important event in Budapest that bears symbolic significance: the ceremonial opening of the joint anti-Semitism monitoring office of Action and Protection Foundation and the Jewish Agency.

The formal inauguration was kicked off with a welcome address by TEV founder and executive rabbi Slomo Köves, in which he said that the majority of people in Hungary are opposed to extreme points of view and wish to live in peace, to turn towards and accept one-an-other.

A commendatory welcome speech was given at the event by Natan Sharansky, leader of the Jewish Agency (Sochnut) and Avraham Duvdevani, chair of the World Zionist Organization. Both praised the work accomplished by Action and Protection Foundation and unanimously approved it as exemplary for the communities internationally.

Gideon Behar, director of the Israeli Foreign Ministry’s Department for Combatting Anti-Semitism and Ilan Mor, ambassador for the State of Israel in Budapest welcomed the support of the Hungarian government in this matter.

Gergely Prőhle, deputy state secretary at the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs cited the Bible as he alluded to the concurrence of the winter festivities. He called attention to the importance of cooperation. He emphasized that in Hungary, Christian-Jewish coexistence is presented as Christian-Jewish antagonism by some people, while he believes a consistent Christian cannot be an anti-Semite.

In his speech on the occasion, Dániel Bodnár, TEV chairman, stressed the important role of symbolic gestures in reaching a common understanding about the right and the wrong way of speaking.

The Action and Protection Foundation office was inaugurally opened by deputy state secretaries Gergely Prőhle and Szabolcs Takács, together with Dániel Bodnár and András Heisler, co-chairmen of Action and Protection Foundation. This was followed by ambassador Ilan Mor’s placing of the Mezuzah on the entrance to the office.
